Energy generated from renewable raw materials is stored solar energy the utilisation of which is considered carbon dioxide neutral. An additional aspect is the local presence of this potential source of energy.
Forests grow everywhere in the temperate latitudes and are therefore sufficiently available for thermal utilisation. The following materials are used: loppings from forest maintenance, wood scraps from sawmills and material from roadside maintenance. Fast-growing trees such as for example poplars can be especially cultivated for energetic utilisation.

Wood has been combusted since the beginnings of human civilisation. At present, heating with wood undergoes revival. State-of-the art combustion technology allows a regulated and low-emission combustion, offering high comfort at the same time.
