Energy
generated from renewable raw materials is stored solar energy the utilisation
of which is considered carbon dioxide neutral. An additional aspect is
the local presence of this potential source of energy.
Forests grow everywhere in the temperate latitudes and are therefore sufficiently
available for thermal utilisation. The following materials are used: loppings
from forest maintenance, wood scraps from sawmills and material from roadside
maintenance. Fast-growing trees such as for example poplars can be especially
cultivated for energetic utilisation.
Wood has been combusted since the beginnings
of human civilisation. At present, heating with wood undergoes revival.
State-of-the art combustion technology allows a regulated and low-emission
combustion, offering high comfort at the same time.

and vegetable

rotation forestry.
There are special pages dealing with pellets.
The use of biogas is also increasing.
The Free State of Bavaria funds innovative concepts for the development
of technical innovations and for the launch of new products on the market.
One of C.A.R.M.E.N.'s tasks is the monitoring of these funded projects.
